Lost Dr. Seuss stories available in September

Move over Cat in the Hat, there are four new books from Dr. Seuss about to hit store shelves. We’re all familiar with beloved children’s author Theodor (Dr. Seuss) Geisel’s classic stories The Cat and the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Hop on Pop, and The Lorax, but have you heard of Horton and the Kwuggerbug or Marco Comes Late?

Four forgotten Dr. Seuss stories will be published by Random House this September. The stories were first published in Redbook Magazine in the 1950s, but never released as books.

The Hoobub and the Grinch (not the same Grinch in the Christmas classic) tells the story of the gullible Hoobub, being tricked by the devious Grinch.

Marco Comes Late features the little boy from Seuss’s first book And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, with Marco explaining why he is late for school.

How Officer Pat Saved the Whole Town is the story about a policeman who anticipates trouble and averts disaster on Mulberry Street.
