Symposium on Effectiveness in Educator Evaluation Coming May 21
A symposium — Celebrating Effectiveness in Educator Evaluation and Professional Learning — is coming to the Four Points by Sheraton in Meriden on May 21. The event, co-sponsored by the Connecticut Teacher of the Year Council and the Connecticut Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, is designed to provide an opportunity for teachers, administrators, and other education advocates to share promising practices related to educator evaluation.
The conference will include a morning welcome and keynote speech by John Mastroianni, Connecticut’s 2014 Teacher of the Year, followed by roundtable discussions and sessions with interactive presentations focused on best practices in evaluation and support from teacher and school leader perspectives. Presenters will include current practicing teachers and school leaders.
