National Day of Blogging for Real Education Reform

Today is the The National Day of Blogging for Real Education Reform, an opportunity for educators to blog about positive reform, using your expertise to talk about how education should be transformed for all learners. The event was created by the American Association of School Administrators and ASCD.

It’s an excellent day to contribute your voice to the dialog and check out some education blogs you may not have visited before.

Besides CEA’s BlogCEA, there are many education blogs worth reading. was created by the National Education Association to be a community of bloggers committed to improving public education in America.  The site is a one-stop destination for educators, bloggers, policy makers, reporters and others looking for fresh viewpoints on public education. It is a resource for the most pressing issues facing public education today, including education policy, education technology, and classroom management.

Education Week has a wide variety of education blogs focusing on education news and opinions as well as teacher blogs.

TeachingNOW is published by Teacher Magazine and provides the magazine’s take on the latest news, ideas, and resources for teacher leaders. Coverage runs the gamut from the inspirational to the infuriating, from practical classroom tips to raging policy debates, and from “news you can use” to “news of the weird.”

Cooperative Catalyst‘s tagline is, “Changing Education as We Speak.”  It’s built on an open collaborative model, where people who are passionate about education, the issues we face in schools and the world-at-large come together to have meaningful discussions.
