American Education Week in Connecticut

Berlin AEW

This week is American Education Week and local associations around Connecticut are each celebrating in their own way.

The Berlin Education Association sold paper apples to raise money for its scholarship fund this year.  On the apples students wrote a note to a teacher thanking that teacher for help in school.  The apples will be on display at schools this week.

In Ashford, they will be recognizing the Teacher of the Year, an Above and Beyond the Call of Duty award winner, and having a Pie Raffle that includes all Ashford Staff at a breakfast on Friday.

This week in Plainville, the Education Association of Plainville honors teachers by treating them to a relaxing breakfast where they can catch up with colleagues.
