The technology conference was great, as usual. I just wish I could have split myself into pieces, so I could have attended all the presentations of interest to me that were held at the same time. I was happy to sit in on Kathy Shrock's info management presentation, although I'm still having trouble processing all the great resources available to us on a daily basis.
I can't tell you how excited I was to see the picture of Thayer and myself (even though it's a view from the back) in the mounted picture that accompanies this post. We really enjoyed doing a "poster" session. We felt we shared some valuable information with folks who stopped by, but it was much more relaxed and enjoyable than doing a formal presentation. Our use of Google apps, Moodle, PhotoStory3, VoiceThread, and other tech tools continues to increase as our school. We are so happy to have conferences such as CECA available to us where we can network, get new ideas, and refine those we are working on. Thanks CEA for highlighting this conference.

It looks like video content creation is the wave of the future when it comes to students showing what they've learned. This is going to be tricky. Many teachers don't feel confident showing students how to use this technology, and those that are may not be sure how to assess this relatively new medium.

CECA/CASL Joint Conference has been a great day. The variety of workshops giving information for using with all levels of students and classes is terrific. Local teachers, librarians, and national speakers all contributed to a successful day. I would encourage anyone who is a teacher and uses, or would like to know more about using, any WEB 2.0 or technology resources in their classrooms to attend future events by CECA and CASL. It is also one of the few times during the year that educators with common goals can get together and share successes and ideas that students enjoy using in the classroom.

I was very pleased with the quality of the set-up and presenters.
