Teaching Job Losses Get Media Attention

An Associated Press article titled Survey: 1,200 Conn. Teaching Jobs Lost this Year was published in several local papers, including the Hartford Courant, earlier this week. CEA Communications Director Kathy Frega was quoted in the piece, along with representatives of the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents and the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education.
Children are the biggest losers when education jobs are cut, and with a state budget agreement still out of reach as we near the middle of August, schools face many unknowns.
