Teacher Certification Bill Passes

The certification bill that failed to pass the legislature during the regular session passed in special session Friday. CEA had worked hard to see this bill pass. It now goes to Governor Rell for her signature.
The bill gives teachers an active role in developing their local professional development programs, includes new coursework requirements for teachers who hold provisional certificates, and broadens the definition of an alternate route to certification program. Read more.
